After being shut off from pedestrian access for more than four years, Sylvan Island in Moline has a new bridge.
The bridge is scheduled to officially open Thursday at 11 a.m.
Benjamin Payne spoke with one local resident who's more than eager to use it.
The Moline Parks and Recreation Department will host an official opening and ribbon-cutting ceremony at Sylvan Gateway Park at 2nd St. and 1st Ave. on Thursday, December 21, at 11 a.m.
