QCCA Expo Center Opens Flower and Garden Show this Weekend

Hundreds of plants, flowers, and gardening supplies were unloaded at the QCCA Expo Center this morning. Gardeners and landscapers have transformed the center into this year's Flower and Garden show, which started today with a Preview Party and Silent Auction.
Director Rob Junker says people can visit 18 different gardens and nearly 200 vendor booths this weekend. And, the proceeds will be donated to local organizations focused on conservation.
He says since the Flower and Garden Show started in 1990, the QCCA Expo Center has donated $2 million to conservation projects. Normally, around 12,000 people attend the event, but Junker says even more are expected this year, with the added Preview Party and auction.

Tonight's Silent Auction will benefit Living Lands and Waters. Friday and Saturday, the Flower and Garden Show is open from 10 am to 8 pm, and on Sunday until 4 pm.
