Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton will join local and state officials in the Quad Cities on Monday in honor of Labor Day. Clinton will headline the 49th Annual Salute to Labor Picnic in Hampton.

Clinton's appearance at last year's picnic drew a crowd of almost 5,000. This year, other speakers will include Illinois US Senator Dick Durbin, candidate for the US Senate Tammy Duckworth, members of congress Cheri Bustos and Dave Loebsack, Illinois State Treasurer Mike Frerichs, and others.

The annual Salute to Labor Picnic will begin at 11:15 am on Monday, at Illiniwek Park.

Other Labor Day events in the Quad Cities include the 32nd Annual Labor Day Parade in Rock Island, at 9:30 am. It starts at 33rd Street and marches west along 18th Avenue.

East Moline's Labor Day Parade begins at 11 am on Monday, at the Deere Harvester Works on 13th Avenue. It will feature the President of the United Auto Workers Union, Dennis Williams.
