QC Chamber Hires New Economic Development Director

Quad Cities Chamber of Commerce

A key vacancy at the Quad Cities Chamber of Commerce has been filled. Next month, Tami Petsche will begin working as the director of economic development, and replace Mark Hunt who resigned to take a job with the Rock Island Housing Authority.

Petsche comes to the chamber from Dewitt where she served as executive director of the Dewitt Development Company from 2008 to 2012, and then continued in that same position after the company merged with the Dewitt chamber of commerce.

Prior to that she served as senior marketing manager for McGraw-Hill Higher Education in Dubuque.
She'll start her new job August 18th.

A native of Detroit, Herb Trix began his radio career as a country-western disc jockey in Roswell, New Mexico (“KRSY, your superkicker in the Pecos Valley”), in 1978. After a stint at an oldies station in Topeka, Kansas (imagine getting paid to play “Louie Louie” and “Great Balls of Fire”), he wormed his way into news, first in Topeka, and then in Freeport Illinois.
