A nuclear plant near the Quad Cities hopes residents and businesses will be ready in case of an emergency. That's why Exelon has sent out more than 28,000 emergency planning brochures this month for the Quad Cities Generating Station at Cordova.
Communications Manager Bill Stoermer says the nuclear power plant is required to send out emergency response information once a year to anyone within a 10 mile radius.

People with disabilities can fill out a form on the brochure to send back to the plant.
Exelon holds emergency drills and other training each month at the Cordova plant involving police, fire departments, and local hospitals.
