The University of Illinois Extension in western Illinois has a new leader. Today it announced Jenny Garner is the new county director for Henry, Mercer, Rock Island, and Stark counties.
She replaces Tony Franklin who was promoted in June to associate director of Extension Field Operations.
For the past six years, Garner has served as Community and Economic Development Educator, working in the four-county region to help public officials and non-profits to improve their marketing, business retention, leadership, and self-sufficiency. Prior to joining the Extension service, she worked for the Mississippi Valley Regional Blood Center and Palmer College.
