In partnership with the League of Women Voters and the Institute for Principled Leadership in Public Service at Bradley University in Peoria last night, WTVP hosted a live debate between the candidates vying for the IL 17th Congressional District seat: incumbent Bobby Schilling (R) and challenger Cheri Bustos (D).
The debate aired live in the Peoria area on WTVP and WCBU 89.9FM Peoria Public Radio. It also aired in the Quad Cities on WQPT-TV and WVIK-FM, and nationally on C-SPAN. It was also streamed live online and is archived www.wtvp.org.
The moderator for the evening was WTVP Public Affairs Consultant H Wayne Wilson. And the panelists were Alex Rusciano, news reporter for WCBU-FM (Peoria public radio), Herb Trix, News Director for WVIK-FM in the Quad Cities and Camille Ivy-O'Donnell, a journalism student at Bradley University.
