Let Fly Ideas for Eaglets' Names

Liberty and Justice need help naming their three eaglets. Well, the eagles who are their parents may not, but Arconic does.

The company's property in Riverdale is where the couple's nest is located, and two cameras allow millions of people to enjoy their lives. The website is called the Arconic Eaglecam, formerly the Alcoa Eaglecam.

That includes Liberty laying three eggs this year, and then watching them hatch two to three weeks ago. "Family" spokesman John Riches sayspeople may suggest individual or sets of namesfor the three baby eagles on the eaglecam blog, Facebook, or tweeting suggestions with the hashtag, #ArconicEaglecam.

"We have a history of patriotic or uplifting names. I'm not sure if people are ready for a change or want to stay with it. We'll have to wait and see what comes of it."

Riches says the names of Liberty and Justice's other offspring are off limits. "Our page lists the others' names, and we won't repeat names from the past."

Arconic will accept name ideas through April 19th. The next week, Riches will post five sets of names for people to vote on during the last week of the month. He and other company officials will make the final decision which will be announced on May 1st.
