Hunt Takes Over at QCCVB

Quad Cities Convention & Visitors Bureau

A staff member will serve as head of the Quad Cities Convention and Visitors Bureau after Joe Taylor steps down. Wednesday the board of the bureau announced it has appointed Lynn Hunt as the Interim President and CEO.

Hunt began working for the tourism organization 14 years ago and has served as Vice President of Sales for more than ten years.

The convention and visitors bureau has created a search committee for a new president and CEO. And it hired a company called, "SearchWide" to find applicants.

Taylor's last day will be Friday.

A native of Detroit, Herb Trix began his radio career as a country-western disc jockey in Roswell, New Mexico (“KRSY, your superkicker in the Pecos Valley”), in 1978. After a stint at an oldies station in Topeka, Kansas (imagine getting paid to play “Louie Louie” and “Great Balls of Fire”), he wormed his way into news, first in Topeka, and then in Freeport Illinois.
