Experience in governing and campaigning - that's what Mike Huckabee says he brings to the race for president. The former governor of Arkansas met with local republicans Saturday morning in Davenport, as he makes a second run for the republican nomination.
Huckabee says compared to four years ago, he's now better prepared but the country is in more desperate shape.
And despite how grueling it is, he admits he loves campaigning.
With so many republicans competing for the nomination, Huckabee says he hopes party leaders can figure out a way to organize debates so they don't become what he calls the "demolition derbies" of the past.
He looks at the caucus and primary process like he's trying out for quarterback of the team.
Huckabee says his plans to revive the economy include re-structuring taxes so manufacturing returns to Iowa and the US after so many years of plants closings and job losses.
