Fulfilling the Promise

The largest fund raising campaign in school history is underway at Monmouth College. Over the weekend, during homecoming, President Mauri Ditzler, announced the beginning of the public phase of the 75 million dollar campaign, entitled "Fulfilling the Promise."

Mary Stahl, director of the Campaign for Monmouth College, says nearly 55 million has been raised so far. And the money will be used for a variety of purposes, including scholarships, study abroad programs, internships, and helping students find their vocation. The largest share, 42 million, will pay for the just-completed Center for Science and Business.

Stahl says raising the rest of the money for "Fulfilling the Promise," about 20 million dollars, could take up to two years.
