Fender-bender leads to a story about immigrants and driving (AUDIO)

Illinois Governor Quinn signed a new law over the weekend to allow undocumented immigrants to get temporary drivers licenses. Lawmakers made their decision late last year, and coincidentally, WVIK's Michelle O'Neill was involved in a fender-bender with a driver who spoke very little English.

While getting her car fixed at Quality Plus Auto Body in Rock Island, Owner Bruce Strader told O'Neill it's common, and that 5 to 10 percent of his business comes from crashes involving refugees or immigrants. Some of them are here legally, but some are not.

Michelle O'Neill reports.
