This week, the convention and visitors bureau is encouraging local residents to eat at local restaurants. It's the second annual Quad Cities Restaurant Week.
Spokeswoman Jessica Waytenick says last year 26 restaurants participated and offered discounts to all their customers. "Last year the restaurants saw on average a 10-15% increase in business during that week. So they definitely saw a boost with the publicity of restaurant week."
