East Moline is looking to its residents for help promoting the city. Tonight, officials will present a report to the city council, outlining a new marketing effort.
City Administrator, Cole O'Donnell, says the city council approved hiring MindFire Communications to build a marketing campaign for economic development. He says the first step is targeting the campaign towards East Moline residents.
O'Donnell says the marketing team is focusing on building pride for East Moline. And, Revitalize and Develop East Moline has offered to pay for some of the campaign, but the marketing costs are still uncertain.
He says the marketing team is currently developing marketing materials, and they should be released in about 2 months.
