Four years after construction began, a new terminal will open Thursday at the Dubuque Regional Airport. The 37 million dollar project came in about 3 million under budget and six months ahead of schedule.
The Federal Aviation Administration paid about 85 per cent of the cost.
The new terminal is three times larger than the old one, and has space for future expansion - for more airline counters and security lanes.
The grand opening is set for 4:30 pm.
