Quad Citians should soon have more details about the future of the Rock Island Arsenal Army Museum.
Officials from Arsenal Island are expected to give an update on the Army Museum during a State of the Arsenal Address on Friday night.
The future of the museum has been in question since 2016, when the Center for Military History announced it'd take control it.
Hundreds of artifacts have been shipped out of the museum since. At a townhall meeting last year, the director of the Center for Military History said the Arsenal's artifact storage room didn't meet army security standards.
Arsenal Major General Edward Daley is expected to make an announcement at 5 p.m. Friday at the iWireless Center in Moline.
