Already sponsoring a golf tournement, John Deere has now decided to sponsor a player too. Today the company announced it will sponsor golfer Zach Johnson for the next two years.
Now ranked 7th in the World Golf Rankings, Johnson has won 11 PGA Tour events, including the Masters in 2007 and the John Deere Classic in 2012.
Starting this weekend at the World Golf Championship in Arizona, the company logo will be displayed on his golf bag.
A native of Cedar Rapids, Johnson has also been a member of the John Deere Classic's board since 2004. The company says a portion of its support will go to the Zach Johnson Foundation which focuses on children and families in need.
