Davenport residents can help decide what the city's downtown riverfront will look like.
Tuesday, a review panel will hold public meetings and interviews with potential consulting firms to develop design standards for the old casino riverboat site.
Those standards include what materials and colors to use for sidewalks, streets, light fixtures, other structures, and landscaping.
Four firms have been selected as finalists, starting with:
- Shive-Hattery of Moline at 8:30 am
- RDG from Dubuque at 9:30
- Hitchcock Design Group from Naperville at 10:30
- SEH of Madison, Wisconsin at 1:30 pm after a lunch break.
At 2:30, the review panel will meet privately to talk about the presentations and select one of the companies to recommend to the Davenport City Council.
Tomorrow's public meetings will be held on the 3rd Floor of the Figge Art Museum.
