Craicmore, a celtic band from southern California, is the first of this season's Quad City Arts' Visiting Artists. The four musicians have been playing at schools and other venues all week, and their public concert will be held this weekend in Davenport.
John MacAdams plays the guitar and sings. He says the original members of Crackmore met in Los Angeles at the Celtic Arts Center. The band's school curriculum is called, "Celtic Connections."
He says lead singer, Nancy Johnston, was not familiar with celtic music even though her grandparents came from Ireland. Craicmore's final local performance will begin on Sunday at 4 pm, at the First Presbyterian Church in Davenport. You can find more informationHERE.
