If attendance on the first day is any indication, this could be one of the best years ever for the John Deere Classic.
Tournament director Clair Peterson says great weather and a lot of big names from the PGA Tour resulted in very crowded parking lots, and a 35 per cent jump in revenue, compared to the first day last year.
He thinks a lot of people have come out to see Jordan Spieth - he won the John Deere Classic in 2013, and just this year won both the US Open and the Masters.
Peterson says at other sports events, spectators are assigned a seat and can only see "what's in front of them."
The weather forecast is not quite as good for tomorrow and Sunday, but Peterson hopes the chance to see some of the world's best players will continue to bring out big crowds to TPC Deere Run in Silvis.
