Bettendorf Studies Future of City Facilities

Jun 27, 2018

Bettendorf is asking its residents for suggestions on how to improve three city facilities. Future plans for the Goettsch Community Center, Life Fitness Center, and Splash Landing will all be discussed Thursday at a town hall meeting.

Lindsey Peckinpaugh works for the consulting firm Perkins+Will. She is helping conduct a feasibility study for the city to improve its recreational facilities. The town hall meeting is a major component of the study.

"So the intent of the meeting is to communicate to the community what the study is about, what we're being asked to do, to show them the work plan, and sort of the next steps of what we're going to be doing as a part of the study. We're also going to be showing to them the initial market analysis, and demographic analysis, and give the community a sense of everything we're analyzing."

The meeting will be held Thursday at 7 PM at Bettendorf City Hall. For updates on the study and the chance to comment, visit the website: www.BettendorfRecCenterStudy.com.
