The head football coach at Augustana College has resigned after six years on the job. Rob Cushman started as a defensive coordinator for the Vikings in 2008, and became head coach two years later.
During Cushman's first season as head coach, the Vikings ended with 2 wins and 8 loses, but went 5 and 5 for the next three years. The football team finished in third this year in the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin.
As head coach, Cushman also helped produce 5 Academic All-Americans, a National Football Foundation Scholar, and a Division 3 All-American.
