The "9/11 Never Forget Mobile Exhibit" comes to the Quad Cities this week. The 53-foot tractor-trailer includes artifacts and videos, with tours led by firefighters from New York City.

The stop here is sponsored by Modern Woodmen, and spokeswoman Michelle Opsahl says the exhibit was created in honor of a New York firefighter, Stephen Siller, who died on 9-11.

It'll be open for tours Tuesday through Saturday.

This year marks the 15th anniversary of 9-11.

A native of Detroit, Herb Trix began his radio career as a country-western disc jockey in Roswell, New Mexico (“KRSY, your superkicker in the Pecos Valley”), in 1978. After a stint at an oldies station in Topeka, Kansas (imagine getting paid to play “Louie Louie” and “Great Balls of Fire”), he wormed his way into news, first in Topeka, and then in Freeport Illinois.
