Zach Johnson arrived at TPC Deere Run this week with the John Deere logo on his golf bag.
The Cedar Rapids native is the Deere brand ambassador and says the John Deere Classic is special to him. It's where he earned his first two tournament sponsor exemptions.
Johnson says he looks forward to returning each year. And even though the tournament was postponed this year because of the Olympics, he says there's never a bad time to be in the Quad Cities.
Johnson won the 2015 Open Championship at St. Andrews and the 2007 Masters. He has won 12 times on the PGA Tour, including once at the John Deere Classic in 2012.
Johnson will tee off at the John Deere Classic Pro-Am Wednesday and will begin the tournament Thursday, along with three time JDC winner Steve Stricker and 2014 winner Brian Harman.
