Three Men Wounded in Weekend Shooting

Davenport police are asking people for information about a weekend shooting in which three people were wounded.

Early Sunday morning around one, officers were called to the 800 block of West 2nd Street about a report of shot being fired. They found three men who'd been shot. Two of them were taken to the hospital to be treated for non-life-threatening injuries. The two Davenport residents are 35 and 27 years old.

The third shooting victim, a 39 year old Davenport man, was taken to the University of Iowa Hospitals with "serious and potentially life-threatening injuries."

Davenport detectives say a car was damaged along with a business nearby.

Police would like anyone with information about the shooting to call the Davenport Police Department (563-326-6125), or send a tip using "CityConnect," Davenport's mobile phone app.
