A new recycling program is about to begin in Davenport and Bettendorf. The Scott County Waste Commission is delivering new bins as part of a program called "Go All In."

Instead of separating recycleables, starting next month, residents will throw them all into one bin.
Commission spokeswoman Brandy Welvaert says  Bettendorf and Davenport residents have been separating their recycleables for the past twenty years, and the new 95-gallon carts will make things easier.

Welvaert says the new bins will encourage people to recycle even more materials.

"By July 30th, all carts will be delivered..."

Welvaert says with the new bins, the Waste Commission can now accept plastics numbers one through five and seven, but not six. More information is available at www.wastecom.com.
