Rock River To Crest Two-and-a-Half Feet Over Flood Stage

National Weather Service

The Rock River is rising after recent storms in southern Wisconsin. It's nearly half a foot above flood stage and rising at Joslin.

It should crest at 2.5 feet above flood stage by Saturday and stay at that level all of next week. The National Weather Service says that will affect basements, yards, and driveways of homes along the river.

The river is about 1 foot below flood stage at Moline Friday.

It should reach flood stage there by Saturday and will continue to rise until cresting at 7-tenths above flood stage on Sunday. It's expected to remain at that high level throughout next week.

The Mississippi River is also rising, and could reach 1 foot below flood stage in the Quad Cities by next Friday.
