A new leader for the Quad City Airport may be chosen on Tuesday. The agenda for the Board of Commissioners includes "to consider and approve hiring of Airport Executive Director."
Last week, the airport and its search consultant announced a contract was being worked out with Ben Leischner. Currently he is Airport Operations Manager and Airline Scheduling Manager for the Seattle-Tacoma International Airport in Washington state.
Thirty seven people applied for the job and four finalists visited the Quad Cities last month for interviews.
If approved, Leischner will replace Bruce Carter who's retiring after 19 years.
