Today's headlines:

  • even though we have no hockey team, season tickets are on sale,
  • Iowa lawmakers want to ban sanctuary cities,
  • and why blue pinwheels are popping up around the Quad Cities.

Today's weather: a 60% chance of rain and snow between 10 a.m. and noon, then a slight chance of rain after noon. Cloudy, with a high near 42.

A native of Detroit, Herb Trix began his radio career as a country-western disc jockey in Roswell, New Mexico (“KRSY, your superkicker in the Pecos Valley”), in 1978.
