The Mississippi River in the Quad Cities is now nearly half a foot over flood stage, and rising. The National Weather Service expects it to crest on Sunday 1 1/2 feet over flood stage.
Thursday afternoon the river is just beginning to creep into LeClaire Park in Davenport, and will soon begin to encroach on the Ben Butterworth Parkway in Moline.
In Scott County, several roads near the Wapsipinicon River are closed due to flooding. The river is now nearly 2 feet over flood stage, with a crest expected Friday night at 2 1/2 feet over flood stage.
The Cedar River continues to fall in Cedar Rapids, but downstream at Conesville it's cresting Thursday at 5 feet over flood stage.
