  • After five centuries of division, Lutherans and Catholics in Moline will serve and worship together. This weekend, members of fourth Lutheran and three Catholic churches will celebrate the 500th anniversary of the Protestant Reformation.

  • A longtime member of the Davenport Fire Department has died. Fire Marshall Mike Hayman diedThursday afternoon after suffering "a serious medical issue" late Wednesday night or early Thursday morning. The 62-year-old Hayman was a 33-year veteran of the fire department.
