A Davenport school teacher has admitted to possessing child pornography, according to a federal criminal complaint released this week.
On Monday 43-year-old Michael Ross appeared in U.S. District Court in Davenport on charges of possession and receipt of child pornography.
Officials arrested Ross after a three month federal investigation. They found child pornography videos in a Dropbox account linked to Ross' email and address.
When federal and local police departments searched his home last week, Ross admitted to possessing child pornography, according to case notes.
Ross has been a teacher at Davenport Community Schools since 2013.
He worked at Buchanan Elementary School for two and half years, and at Wilson Elementary School for two.
He'll be back in court on Thursday for a detention and preliminary hearing.
