The Davenport Levee Improvement Commission will soon be re-named the Riverfront Improvement Commission. At its meeting tomorrow, members will consider changing a number of bylaws to coordinate with changes the Davenport City Council is expected to approve on Wednesday.
Steve Ahrens, the levee commission's Executive Officer, says the number of members will also increase from seven to eleven. Each alderman and the mayor will appoint one member, and the commission will elect a member as chair.
Members of the Davenport Levee Commission have already changed the monthly meeting time from a Tuesday afternoon to early evening. And for this month, Ahrens says that's tomorrow at 5:30 P.M at the police station's community room.
