A veteran of the Bettendorf Police Department will probably soon become its next chief. Today the city announced, Captain Keith Kimball has been chosen to replace Phil Redington, who's led the department for 25 years, and plans to retire in May.
Kimball has been with the Bettendorf police for 28 years, starting out as a patrol officer. He's also served as school liaison, field training officer, evidence technician, detective, and
patrol commander.
The Bettendorf City Council will vote on Kimball’s appointment next week.
