Bettendorf Hires New City Attorney

City of Bettendorf

Bettendorf has hired a new city attorney. Christopher Curran will start working July 1, and replace Kristine Stone who resigned to accept a job with a law firm in Des Moines.

Curran joined the local law firm of Lane & Waterman in 1997, and has focused on a wide variety of corporate, real estate, and intellectual property cases.

He currently is serving as Chair of Gilda’s Club of the Quad-Cities, on the WQPT Community Advisory Board, and the board of the Quad Cities Foreign Trade Zone.

A native of Detroit, Herb Trix began his radio career as a country-western disc jockey in Roswell, New Mexico (“KRSY, your superkicker in the Pecos Valley”), in 1978. After a stint at an oldies station in Topeka, Kansas (imagine getting paid to play “Louie Louie” and “Great Balls of Fire”), he wormed his way into news, first in Topeka, and then in Freeport Illinois.
