$45m Will Help Rock Island & Neighboring States

The Rock Island Economic Growth Corporation is going national, and attracting big money. Actually, it went national seven years ago when it created Central States Development Partners. It's a for-profit division of GROWTH which recently received $45 million in New Market Tax Credits from the U.S. Treasury Department.

On today's WVIK News Focus, Michelle O'Neill reports President and CEO, Brian Hollenback, says although Central States is national, "all arrows point back to Rock Island."

Officially, Michelle's title for 28 years was WVIK News Editor. She did everything there is to do in the newsroom and whatever was needed around the radio station. She also served as Acting News Director from September 2023 - January 2024.
