People gathered around the table today to talk about ways to improve the Quad Cities. Augustana College hosted one of nearly 300 discussions taking place today and Saturday as part of the Quad Cities Big Table.

A local donation center is getting face lift, thanks to the John Deere Store in Moline. Clients of the Humility of Mary shelter in Davenport go to the center to get clothing and supplies for free. Recently when the Deere Store remodeled, it gave wooden shelves and racks to the organization.

Iowa residents behind on their heating bills will soon need to make a plan for spring. Iowa's winter disconnection freeze for low income households ends on Sunday, April 1st.

Tractor enthusiasts gather to celebrate 100 years of John Deere and get to know some folks. This week the River Center is hosting "The gathering of the green" a convention dedicated to historical John Deere tractors. For the next few days convention will host Tours, workshops, vendors, and of course tractors.

Quad City Arts

Thanks to Quad City Arts, arts organizations and artists will receive more than $90,000. That's the total of this year's Arts Dollars grants, awarded to 23 projects.

Students at Augustana College in Rock Island are asking administrators for answers about sexual assault policies. In early January, a student reported she was sexually assaulted at an off-campus house.

Michelle O'Neill reports the student shared her story with local news media, and some students say they're not satisfied with the college's response.

Affordable housing in Rock Island is getting a face lift. Sunset Heights on Martin Luther King Drive/9th Street in Rock Island is undergoing a 12 million dollar renovation. 

Soup or Bowls

This weekend a local charity is asking you to place your bets on  "Soup or Bowls". On Saturday, Discounted Furniture in Rock Island will collect canned food and other donations for Christian Care Homeless Men's Shelter downtown and QC Paws Animal Shelter in Moline.
