WVIK (90.3 FM) is the National Public Radio station for the Quad Cities region of eastern Iowa and northwestern Illinois. WVIK is licensed to Rock Island, Illinois, and owned by Augustana College. Studios are located on Augustana's campus in Rock Island. It broadcasts at 90.3 FM across eastern Iowa and northwestern Illinois, and at 95.9 FM in Dubuque, Iowa and a small portion of southwestern Wisconsin.

WVIK honors Don Wooten

On May 16, WVIK hosted a gala dinner honoring station founder and longtime host Don Wooten. Wooten talks about receiving the recognition and offers a few life lessons.

WVIK will celebrate Dubuque Week Sept. 15-21 with special broadcasts and events, including an appearance by Garrison Keillor of "A Prairie Home Companion."

Roald Tweet, writer and narrator of Rock Island Lines, will air five new episodes of his program that focus on the history of Dubuque. These can be heard at 11 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. Monday-Friday, Sept. 15-19 at WVIK 90.3 FM and at 95.9 FM in Dubuque. These new episodes of Rock Island Lines during Dubuque week are sponsored by Mercy Medical Center, Dubuque.
